# ICP token

A token, like other coins inside blockchains, gives users some privileges and opportunities to influence the network. Participants in the network can participate in governance, enter into smart contracts, blockchain helps create websites, corporate IT systems, cross-industry protocols, DeFi and NTFs using ICPs.<br>
